City Manger, Manuel Pellegrini was named the English Premier League Manager for the Month of December. The Chilean guided his team to 5 wins from 6 games even with his star striker Sergio Aguero.
Throughout the said month, the current English Premier League champions were unbeaten, garnering 16 points from a possible 18. They reduced the gap at the summit of the table between them and current League leaders, Chelsea.
Pellegrini did not however have a smooth sail all month, as a 2-2 draw with relegation battlers, Burnley, clawed back from a two-goal deficit to share spoils.
That however did not rule out the fact that Man. City had a good month. He had to do without Aguero, Edin Dzeko and Sebastian Jovetiç, and yet turned in 16 goals from six games.
This records the 3rd time the Chilean is presented with the award after a back-to-back win in December 2013 and January 2014.
